So yesterday I had a ridiculously early start to travel the 72 miles down to Sapey Horse Trials for our 8.40am dressage with Crosbie. I was up by 3.30am and he was plaited and on Queen Wendy ready for the off at 4.50am.
He made the whole day worth while by behaving like a little star in his first ever BE90. I was a bit disappointed with a dressage of 39.8 but the section was marked more harsh then most and with the arena being a little unlevel and him being still a little unbalanced it actually wasn't too bad. He then proceeded to jump a lovely clear round showjumping despite a couple of wonky head moments. And the cross country he was like magic, felt fantastic, was bold, brave and cruised across the country. Absolutely delighted with him. I think we have a future star in the making 😊 And thrilled to come home with a frilly for our 10th place.
