On Sunday I had a busy time taking three horses to South View for thier Combined Training. I rode the new boy, Raleigh in the Prelim 14 with 2'6 jumping first. He was such a little gentleman and did a lovely test for 66.67% and then jumped almost a perfect Showjumping round apart from one little misunderstanding where I half halted in a related distance cause he got a run on me and he over reacted throwing his head back causing him to pick up 4 faults for having the fence down, but other then that I was delighted with him. He finished up 5th out of 22 competitors. Next was Crosbie's turn. He has been out on quite a few adventures lately, mainly cross country or farm rides and it's got him a little excitable I think. He did quite a nice test but with a few obvious mistakes where he was jolly, but he still got a 65.83%. In the Showjumping he was still a little jolly but I think also found it too small for him. He's usually very careful but had a couple down. So our plan now is to test him over some bigger fences and that will hopefully please him. Finally I had Cherry in the Novice 30 with 3' jumping. She hasn't done a Novice test before but gave it her best shot gaining a 71.5% and then jumped a good, albeit slightly crazy clear round to finish 3rd. Good effort from all of them and thank you to Nikee Hudson from Twemlows Stud for picking my third horse up else I couldn't have taken all 3 :-)
