On Sunday I took Nancy to Reaseheath college for a couple of dressage tests. It was her first time there, her first time being ridden indoors and her first attempt at prelim level. She was exceptionally well behaved. She’s actually a real pleasure to take out. Yes she can look at something occasionally but she doesn’t get silly. Not saying that’s how it will always be but for now she’s very sensible. First off we did Intro B, pretty much an accurate test throughout and even scored an 8 for her trot a 20m circle on a long rein!!! She gained 73% which was good enough for 4th. Then we did Prelim 7 and scored 68% again for 4th. Delighted that she cantered so well having never cantered in a test before, but hugely disappointed with myself for asking her to canter in the wrong place losing us 5 marks (3 marks for the movement and 2 deducted for an error) and 70%. A proper sack the jockey moment. But onwards and upwards, she’s doesn’t know I messed up and I was thrilled with her attitude. #homebred #flomirozed #amiroz #sporthorse #5yearsold
