Our next adventure of the Easter holidays was a trip to Springbank for their final show of the winter series. What fun we’ve had at this venue. It’s so relaxed, fun and encouraging for the little ones. It was super busy for the first class and Harriet and Mrs Marni jumped a lovely clear in the first round followed by a speedy clear in the jump off, good enough for 3rd place out of 15+ competitors 💪🏼
Yesterday Percy and I headed to Wales for a spot of BS at Northop College. I’d jumped him at home on thursday and he was pinging so I was feeling ultra brave and that night entered us in the 1.05m amateur class and the newcomers. I can’t remember the last time I jumped a Newcomers but thought I’d give it ago. And that moment of madness paid off. He was absolutely fab and jumped his socks off for two double clears, two 2nd places and 2 lots of prize money. He actually had the quickest time out of the newcomers horses but because it was a certain category of show they weren’t split from the open horses so was beaten by an open horse. So mega proud of him and myself. I’d say having had two children it’s not always easy finding your brave pants but on Thursday I did and I so chuffed about it. Mega day 💙💙

Nancy was doing her 2nd ever test and first time out under saddle since December. She smashed it with a 67.39% and 1st place in a big section of Intro B. Then Arrow had her first outing since October and was rather pleased to be out but held herself together to pull a 70.96% out of the bag, good enough for 2nd place in Prelime 13 in a large class. So nice to bump in to so many friendly faces and have company off Lou who I know from the school run, we literally ditched the kids, Harry and Harriet at school and ran 😂
