Having sulked for most of yesterday as my weekend fell apart with cancellation after cancellation because of the silly British Weather, I managed to pull myself together and with a very quick change of plan rerouted with Percy to Field House for their BS show. We did class 2 and 3 having 2 super rounds and quite speedy with it, managing to take all my intended turns, leave all the poles in the cups, taking the two wins and picked up a qualification for SCOPE in the process. Considering Percy was supposed to have the weekend off whilst I competed Arrow at Somerford and took Harriet and Mrs Marni to a show I think the boy did good. Certainly put a smile back on my face and he now has a new best friend in the shape of HRH, she thinks he’s the best pony ever and apparently when she’s a grown up she’s going to take him jumping and jump big fences and share him with me!!! It was lovely to see how excited she was about being at the show watching me ride. I could hear her when I was in the arena shouting hello mummy every time I went passed her 😂 Percy really enjoyed his outing to 💙🥰 Big thank you to Granny Fishburn for taking charge of the kiddies whilst I jumped.
On Sunday we headed to Berriewood for the 2nd of their Telford Riding Club shows. Harriet rode beautifully and Mrs Marni did her best show yet I would say. We were 3rd in the M&M Best Turned Out which was great but then last of 7 in the Lead Rein M&M ☹️ not really sure what we did so wrong but I guess that’s showing for you 😂 the judge did say he’d have preferred me to get the straighteners on her mane rather then leave it curly 🙈 But never mind Harriet was happy with a pretty turquoise “special” rosette 💗
Another quick outing yesterday for Percy to the Tushingham BS show, quickly popped round the second class and home again, all in a couple of hours. It is actually quite nice having a time for showjumping!! He jumped a fun double clear but we do (I do) get a little excited in the jump off so step it up abit but then don’t always make the tight turns costing us valuable seconds. We ended up 4th. 0.01 seconds off 3rd and 2.5 behind the winner. But we had a lovely time and nice to see some familiar friendly faces.

Percy’s 2nd outing in 2 1/2 years and he goes out for a super jolly and pings round double clear. We had little in the way of control so missed the only turn where we could possibly shave any time off but managed to take joint first place alongside Keith Shore. He really does enjoy his little outings. We were all packed up and done by 8.30am. #mrprecision #cowpony #homebred #sporthorse #horsesofinstagram

She had very nice moments in her dressage but gave a few marks away with little spooks or lack of attention etc but generally nice. Showjumping started very well but on having a little look coming into a double I slightly overrode into it having the first part down and then got a little quick on a dog leg to a parallel having that down to, a try sack the jockey moment. Cross country there was plenty to look at and enough questions but she was clear with a couple of time penalties. I didn’t know my dressage until after we had finished but it was a very satisfactory mark of 26.5, so feeling I let her down a little bit today, but it certainly wasn’t a dressage competition today, with the sj and xc being very influential to the scores. So actually we were 13th out of 38. We don’t talk about where we could have been if we’d finished on our dressage score like we did last week. 😂 #cupidsarrow #carouselbaby #sporthorse #eventersofinstagram #baymare
