Really good day at Prescott Equestrian BD show today. Florence was a little star despite the howling winds. We did Novice 22 scored 71.55% for 2nd and 2nd overall, then we did Novice 37 scored 72.68% for 1st and 1st overall. In two weeks we've registered for BD, been to three shows and qualified for the Novice Open Regional Finals. Really pleased with her. She's turning into a real Dressage Diva. Florence and I headed to Field House Equestrian today for their British Dressage competition. I'd entered through our new sponsors, Equo, so it was nice to go and fly the Equo flag for them. Florence was feeling fantastic and pulled out all the stops in Novice 22 for 76.9%, including getting 7.5's for both medium trots, a 9 and 8.5 for her walks and 8 for her paces. Thrilled to bits to pick up the red one and take 1st in the open and overall. Then in the Novice 37, which is quite a tricky test she again felt fantastic but had quite a big spook up the far end of the arena next to the toilets , causing her to change behind and hollow and score a 5, but other then that I was delighted with her. We scored 68.75% to take 2nd in the novice and overall. All in all a really good day despite me sporting some war wounds on my face from a little incident bringing horses in from the field last night.

We headed to Prescott Equestrian which we had entered through Equo, which is the new entries system brought to us by Horse & Hound and also our new sponsors. It is simple to enter and takes very little time once you have registered all you details with them. We did the Novice 22 first, she did a very pleasant test for 69.14% which was good enough for 2nd in the Open and 2nd overall. We then did Novice 38 and I thought this was a much more expressive test and she felt fabulous but under a different judge we scored 66.94% which was still good enough for 2nd in the Open and 2nd overall. I'm really pleased with how she behaved and delighted we weren't shown up by the flashy warm bloods!!!
slightly disappointing results at Somerford. Both Percy and Florence were competing in the D10. Florence did a nice test but was perhaps a little more sparky then normal but got a disappointing score of 66.25% which is very low compared to what she has been getting. Percy then got a 68.3% and actually finished 6th, so that was a better result. Neither team that they were on for Nantwich was placed, so not a great day.
