What a really lovely day I had at S and G Equine Ltd Weaver Equestrian for their dressage competition. Nancy was doing her 2nd ever test and first time out under saddle since December. She smashed it with a 67.39% and 1st place in a big section of Intro B. Then Arrow had her first outing since October and was rather pleased to be out but held herself together to pull a 70.96% out of the bag, good enough for 2nd place in Prelime 13 in a large class. So nice to bump in to so many friendly faces and have company off Lou who I know from the school run, we literally ditched the kids, Harry and Harriet at school and ran 😂
If I’m totally honest it’s not been a bad Mothers Day. Started the day with one of my unicorns putting in a foot perfect performance at SouthView Equestrian Centre taking a 2nd in the scope qualifier and then a 1st in the 1.05m amateur class. He was actually pretty awesome, if not a double handful in the first class. He was certainly loving life today. I do love it when Harriet and Ted come to watch. I know Ted doesn’t really know what it’s all about yet but Harriet genuinely gets a lot of pleasure from watching Mummy jump her ponies. It’s not always ideal coming to the first fence hearing “Mummy, Hello Mummy” but I’ve learnt to zone out from that.
Then my afternoon consisted of a lovely, totally last minute lunch at The Black Bear. On to see Nana. McFlurry on the way home. A to finish my day a pretty chilled evening with a Chinese. 💗👑💙🐻🦄🏆🍦 Fab pictures Landscapes and Horses On Sunday I took Harriet showjumping at Alsager with Mrs Marni. Harriet was so excited because one of her best buddy’s, Alice, was there and they are so cute together. They did a foot perfect first class for a win and it was all going so well in the second class up to the 5th fence where she got a little unbalanced with a little Marni leap and the 6th fence, which was a related distance claimed a victim and she toppled off 🙈she got back on and completed and actually Marni jumped the last 3 fences a little less expressive 🙈
Another lovely outing to Springbank Arena for Harriet and Mrs Marni. After a real cheeky moment in the week she totally redeemed herself with a smart double clear for 3rd place. As ever a rather competitive class with some super fast jump off rounds. Lovely morning in lovely company.
Another super day at Springbank Arena. Harriet and Mrs Marni and Mummy all jumped in the first class. A great clear in the first round followed by a super jump off. We cut corners we never thought possible but our competitive side came out having watched the first pony go and take some awesome lines. We took the same route just a little slower to take 3rd, partly cause I wouldn’t keep up with Marni if I let her go any faster and partly because I’m trying to make sure my jockey is still onboard 😂😂😂 We have so much fun at this venue but my word these classes are getting competitive, all in a good way though 🥰🤩
I love this boy 😘 When I was driving to Reaseheath Equestrian Centre in a horizontal blizzard I was questioning my sanity….but fast forward a couple of hours and this was my answer!! He tries so hard for me and we have such a giggle. We had 2 double clears. Firstly in the 95cm amateur and he was knocked into 2nd place by the tiniest margin of 0.01 seconds!!! Don’t think I’ve ever had such a close result. Then we jumped the 1.05m amateur and he was ace taking 1st place. Fun times 🤩
Almost a really successful day for HRH Pony Adventures and Mrs Marni at the Nantwich RC SJ at Alsager. They won the first class but then altough we had a good time in the second class which was good enough for 2nd we were penalised because Marni jumped her out the saddle and I had to catch her to stop her falling so we were joint 4th ☹️ I didn’t realise you aren’t allowed to help them stay in the saddle 🙈 Harriet is going to have to learn quicker to hang on herself or she gets to eat dirt!!! 🙈😂
What another fun morning we had at Springbank Arena on Sunday, despite me getting in from a ball at 4am I still managed to get out on the yard for 7am to muck out all the horses, get Marni ready, the kids up and run round the course 3 times!!! 💪🏼 Mrs Marni was totally cool and Harriet gets better and better. We had a lovely steady clear round, then jumped the first class clear to get into the jump off and jump quite a competitive round with some tight turns and a little bit of canter to take 4th out of 13. Super proud of the pair of them, and myself to be honest, although it has taken me 4 days to write this post 😂😂😂 Daddy and Ted were also in tow and behaved themselves quite well. Daddy gets bonus points for getting us all crinkly chips and cheese after we had finished. Such a fun friendly venue, but don’t be fooled because all the parents are super competitive. 😂😂😂
A fun morning in Wales with Percy today. We popped across the border to jump a couple of classes at the BS Senior Denbigh & Flint Show at Northop College. We jumped 2 double clears firstly in the 95cm Amateur and then in the Discovery. Yes we did it 💪🏼 after deciding last week that in move to plan B and not bother with Discovery double clears we got it!!!! Happy to come home with a 3rd and 2nd. Good boy Mr P 🥰💙 Such a fun and friendly show which despite being in Wales is actually one of the easiest journeys and only an hour away…perfect!!
It was Harriet’s first day at a pony club rally today since becoming a member. And what a fun way to kick start her pony club days. Marni was a little bit jolly and enjoyed her jumping a little too much today, putting in some big jumps but Harriet hung on in there. The trainer is given a rosette in each group to hand out to who she thought deserved it the most. Harriet was delighted to receive the rosette in her group and the reason for that was because she managed to stay on Marni’s big jumps and wasn’t put off.
