Super friendly venue, thank you to Lucas and his team. All in all a really fun day out in great company with lovely weather 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Only 2 weeks late which isn’t like me at all but here goes!!! On Sunday we had a lovely first outing to Poole Equine for their dressage and jumping show. Randomly both Harriet and I were riding, which was only possible because one of Harriets favourite people, Auntie Cole aka Nicole, came along to help juggle us all. Harriet was doing her first ever dressage test and her first ever jumping round on Marni. I’m not going to pretend it all went totally smoothly but it wasn’t bad. Anyone that knows Marni and Arrow will realise there was a lot of hormones to deal with. The two biggest divas on the yard, with Mr Pegs to try and calm the situation 😂 joke!! It wasn’t so bad. First up was Harriet and she “up downed” happily through her test, while mummy had to remember where we were going and Marni eyed up the white boards to jump out!! Happy with 67.57% and 2nd in the lead rein section. We then went on to jump the clear round. Well we got round, Harriet stayed on and they got the biggest round of applause and cheers at the end of it. Harriet was made up being allowed to go and choose a rosette. Pink of course, just like her mum. We now just need to work on Marni just trotting over the fences rather then jumping. Her back end is so good that I think even Mark Todd would struggle to sit it 😂😂😂 Then it was my turn with Arrow, having lost an event to weather I thought it would just be good to get out for a practise at dressage on grass. She was happy to be out and the judge seemed to love her. She got a 77% and won the BE95.
