Cherry was entered in the second and third classes. I only got her back on Monday so she had a little crash course before the event, but it paid off. She got a 69% in the BE92 and just had 4 faults round the 80cm course, which was good enough to take the Championship, which we had clocked points up toward earlier in the year. She then did another nice test in the BE102 and scored 68.5% and had 4 faults round the 90cm course, which was at the same fence that she did in the first class, it was over a water tray. This was good enough for 2nd place. All in all a good day and a successful return for Cherry. :-)
Yesterday I took Crosbie and Cherry to Tushingham Arena for the Combined Event. Crosbie hasn't seen many cross country style fences so he was entered in the first class with BE92 dressage test and 70cm jumping. There were some lovely moments in his test and the judge seemed to really like him, he was very well behaved apart from a little explosion in his first trot 20m circle, not really sure what that was for but he scored a 66.5%. He then jumped the most impeccable, polite and smooth round to go on and win the class.
